02/04/2014 What happens in class

Today we finished off on the 3 point lighting portrait of our Cee character. We also learnt more about the linear workflow & Gamma correction which was confusing at first but as soon as we went more into it, it made more sense  .

This is the ambient light for my Cee model we made this because you always have a bit of light coming from some where (nothing is always black).

This is my Rim light for my Cee model shining from behind the model to create like a silhouette look for the model, also this creates a depth look for the model.

This is my Key light shining from the opposite side of the rim light.

This is my Fill light, this is used to shine upon the model and illuminate the model from the frontal area.

This is the final image with all the lights on at once and as one can clearly see the facial features are clearly defined and that I have made a nice 3 point lighting image of Cee my model.
....................................................................................

After doing all of that i wanted to experiment with more lighting effects so i created a scene from scratch and added a few of thee lighting techniques we learnt over the couple of days.

The lighting effect almost looks right but i still need to make it look as if the light is emitting from the lamp poles because at the moment it looks as if the light is emitting out of nothing.
...................................................................................

After all the 3D was done today I handed in all my 2D work needed for the head & facial features.
